Terms and Conditions
Effective as of August 2025.
Welcome to African Explorers. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the booking and participation in all travel packages offered by African Explorers. By making a booking with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Booking & Payment
A deposit of [e.g. 30%] is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
Full payment is due no later than [e.g. 60 days] before the start of your trip.
Payments can be made via bank transfer, debit/credit card, or other approved methods.
Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of deposit and a confirmation email from African Explorers.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations must be made in writing via email.
Cancellation charges apply as follows:
More than 60 days before departure: [e.g. 10% fee]
30–59 days before departure: [e.g. 50% fee]
Less than 30 days before departure: No refund
No refunds are given for unused services or early departures.
3. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all travelers.
Insurance must cover trip cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, and baggage loss.
Proof of insurance must be provided prior to departure.
4. Passports & Visas
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they hold a valid passport and any necessary visas.
Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry into Kenya.
African Explorers can offer guidance but is not responsible for visa approval.
5. Health & Safety
It is your responsibility to seek medical advice before travel.
Required vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis should be arranged in advance.
Inform us of any allergies, health issues, or dietary restrictions prior to travel.
6. Itinerary & Changes
While we strive to operate all tours as planned, African Explorers reserves the right to alter itineraries due to weather, safety, park regulations, or other unforeseen circumstances.
If a major change is necessary, we will inform you as soon as possible.
7. Accommodation
Accommodation will be in quality lodges, tented camps, or beach resorts as per the package description.
African Explorers reserves the right to substitute equivalent accommodations if necessary.
Room configurations (e.g., twin/double) are subject to availability.
8. Flights
Packages include return international flights from London Gatwick or Heathrow as specified.
Domestic flights within Kenya are included where mentioned.
Flight times and carriers are subject to change.
9. Liability & Responsibility
African Explorers acts as an agent for service providers (hotels, airlines, transport companies).
We are not liable for injury, illness, death, loss, or damage due to acts of third parties, force majeure, or personal negligence.
Participation in any activity is at your own risk.
10. Complaints
If you encounter any issues during your trip, notify your tour guide or our support team immediately.
Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of trip completion.
11. Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and will only use your information for booking and communication purposes.
Personal data will not be shared with third parties except as required to fulfill your travel arrangements.

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.
